If you frequent the regular page you know that it’s a blank area with a simple search bar. iGoogle give you a chance to create a customizable home page for you Google page. However, the key to making the best page possible is to making effective use of the widgets.

The first thing you want is a widget for your Gmail. This is important as it will allow you to see and send email without having to go over to another box. After that you will want social media widgets. There are ones for Facebook and Twitter. This will allow you to keep up with what’s going on in your social media world without having to leave a page.

After that the journey is really really yours. You can start adding widgets from the websites you like to visit. This will give you latest articles from them. It will also give you an app for your Google reader if that is something you use instead. You can use as many or as few boxes as humanly possible. You just have to decide what you like and just go from there.
